Valerie Kendrick

As a Clinical Social Worker, I have extensive training and experience in providing therapeutic support, helping individuals navigate through challenges, and promoting overall well-being. I started my career as an Intensive Case Manager providing assistance to individuals diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. Later, I continued my career as a clinician at a group practice for many years while simultaneously working as a custody evaluator for the Court Conciliation and Evaluation Service of Bucks County (CCES). Ultimately I started my own private practice, and have enjoyed guiding clients towards a life of healing and growth. I continue to work as a custody evaluator for CCES in order to bring more clarity to custody matters and to assist parents in making informed decisions. The various populations I work with for individual counseling include: adults, adolescents (age 12+), college students, couples, and families. I am an LGBTQ+ ally, Immigrant ally, Veteran ally, and Racial Justice ally. I am also a bilingual clinician (English/Spanish) & licensed in PA. Additionally, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

My high level of motivation paired with commitment to clients needs and goals genuinely drives my work in this profession. I specialize in anxiety, depression, mood disorders and substance abuse disorders.

I work with individuals ages 16+ and specialize in supporting clients through depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, and substance use concerns. I also have experience working with clients involved in the criminal justice and child welfare systems, as well as those navigating relationship difficulties, family stress, and experiences of abuse. I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, exposure therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to create a collaborative, compassionate space where clients can heal, grow, and build the skills they need to move forward.

I am a LMSW who specializes in working with adults, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. With experience supporting individuals with foster care and adoption backgrounds, as well as mothers and women experiencing hormonal or perinatal changes, I provide a deeply compassionate and culturally responsive therapeutic space. My approach integrates CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR-informed practices, along with faith-sensitive support when desired. I am committed to helping clients understand their stories, regulate their nervous systems, strengthen relationships, and build the emotional resilience needed for long-term healing and wellness.
